PARKLAND ENTERTAINMENT & ECLIPSE PICTURES presents the Irish film TARRAC. Under the direction of Declan Recks. Written by Eugene O’Brien. Illustrated by Clíona Ní Bhuachalla. This award winning fil TARRAC was recorded in the beautiful location of Chorca Dhuibhne on the Dingle peninsula in County Kerry.  The main actors are Kelly Gough (Kill Command, Out of Innocence) Lorcan Cranitch (Lakelands, Aisha, Róise & Frank) Kate Nic Chonaonaigh (An Cailín Ciúin, Song of Granite, Shadow Dancer), Kate Finegan (Joyride, Rós na Rún), Rachel Feeney (Belfast, Death on the Nile) and Cillian Ó Gairbhí (Róise & Frank, Foscadh).

Aoife Ní Bhraoin (Kelly Gough) returns home to help her father ‘The Bear’ Ó Braoin (Lorcan Cranitch) who is coming around after having a heart attack. During this time Aoife needs to come to terms with her mother’s death, heartbreak which she has ignored until now. There is still plenty that herself and her father have not addressed.  Aoife reacquaints herself with a rowing group and this team of all women set their sights on the great competition that will be set out in the Naomhóg races.

Lenght: 94 minutes /  IFCO Certification: 15a /  BBFC Certification: 15 TG4, TARRAC was funded by Fís Éireann and the BAI (Media Commision) as part of the Cine4 scheme to provide original feature films in Irish.
